Today I was in the greatest hurry to leave the house and get to town as fast as I could. So I went for my other go-to bottoms- my black skinnies. I’m in love with these pants and no one can tear us apart! Pair the skinnies with my black ballet flats and a gold sweater.
The reason why I thought I should name today’s blog post “Bringin’ Back The Ol’ School” was because it made me think of how fashion repeats itself. Stuff that was in our parents’ wardrobe has made its way back on the runway. Don’t you just wish that you’re mum never gave away her maxi skirts, or her oversize sweaters, or her platforms heels (well, some, not all)? You know what I mean. Well, today’s outfit consisted of some items that were formerly my mum and aunty’s, from way back when.
So, as I said earlier, today I tried to bring back the ol’ school. The sweater was my aunty’s (Thanks Aunt Nora!), now mine. Ha ha :-). The cuff on my wrist was my mum’s. Discovered it a few months back and I L.O.V.E it! It gives life to my arm! LOL :-).
The hair absolutely backfired today! I’m on a mission to get the perfect twist-outs. Think I should cut my hair some more.
In more happier news, I’ve missed wearing this collar necklace! Once again, thank you to my sis Angie for making me buy it. Can’t believe I wasn’t going to buy this necklace. I like how it makes a statement.
I think the twists didn’t fold too well at the front. I’ll do others soon.
On a more random note, did my nails before this post and I thought I should share this pic with you all:
The nails look neon orange but they are actually more neon pink-ish. Forgive the messy application though! I usually peel off the mess once my nails have completely dried.
