So I’ve always wanted to do a DIY post but I never actually got around to doing it. Those of you who may know me know that I almost always put things away to do until the very last minute. So, while it rained cows and goats on Friday night, I decided to do the DIY: revamp an old pair of earrings that I had.
Okay, this is what you’ll need:
1. A pair of earrings. Preferably an old pair that you hardly wear.
I’ve had these earrings for about 3 years. I kinda got bored of them so I decided to use them for this DIY project.
Again, an old pair of earrings. Notice how they’ve kinda discolored over time.
2. A piece of some fabric that you hardly use. In my case, I used the remainder of some African print fabric that my sister used to make a skirt a couple of years back. Love the colour of the fabric btw!
4. A pair of scissors and some glue.
STEP 1: Cut up a piece of the fabric that you’ll use
STEP 2: Start wrapping the fabric around the loop of the earring.
STEP 3: Repeat the process until the earring is fully covered. Then use the glue to secure the edges of the fabric so that it doesn’t unravel…..et voila!! The earring is revamped!
The earrings look a little untidy but I love the outcome! Hope to do more DIYs soon!! 🙂
What do you think of the earrings?
