I don’t really know whether I wore a mix of textures but I think I did. I wore this outfit on Saturday. Went to hang out with my sweetheart Tim, who was also my lovely photographer that day. Thanks Tim! About my outfit, I decided that I had to wear the skirt, come rain or sunshine. I just had to figure out what to wear around the skirt. At first, my outfit inspiration came from this archived post I saw on Delmy’s blog, Fashion Bananas. I wore everything, including sneakers- stolen from my brother 🙂 – that I thought would go
so well with the outfit. Then I looked at myself in the mirror and I was like, hell no. The outfit felt a lil wrong with the sneakers, so I took them off, and reached for a pair of mustard/canary yellow that I bought in Malaysia. Thought that they’d give my outfit a pop of colour. Another thing about me, you’ll hardly never find me in a full black outfit. I don’t think I can do that, I just have to wear another colour. I digress. Pics please…..
So, when I said a mix of textures: my blazer was a little velvet-y/suede-y, my skirt was a heavy cotton fabric, the top was stretch cotton, the earrings were from my DIY– African print kitenge, the bangles were kitenge as well, the bag was leather. A mix of textures!
I believe this is the first goofy pic of myself on the blog!! 🙂
People always tell me I have big eyes, what do you guys think?
Me trying lots of different poses. I think I need to take posing classes or something. LOL :-).
Thought I’d include a couple of pics of myself without the blazer. What do you think?
