Hello my lovelies!
Sooo, I have been saving this DIY for quite some time and decided that today would be a perfect day to upload another DIY post. I’ve uploaded some pics of some DIYs I’ve done this week on my Twitter and Instagram so you can check those out.
Today’s DIY is one that I did a couple of weeks ago on some random evening at home. Initially, the DIY sort of backfired but then I realized that it didn’t look too bad! I decided to go along with it anyway.
So, like other DIYs, here’s what you’ll need:
1. Some old hoop earrings (I forgot to take a pic of the earrings so I got a pic off the internet. They look similar to these though)
2. A piece of fabric. (Don’t mind that I’m always using African print fabric for my DIYs, I happened to get A LOT of scraps from Boutique Mahali!)
3. Sewing material
Step 2: Fold the fabric over (right side up) and begin to sew along the length of the strip, making sure you leave a space of about 1cm on the strip (this will be the space used in the next step). (Using thread that is of a similar colour to any of the colours on the fabric is a plus 🙂 )
Step 3: Once you’re done sewing both strips of fabric, pass the loop of the earrings inside the strip of fabric. When you’re done, here’s how the earrings will look like:
This is how the earrings will look when worn:
Another way to revamp your earrings! What do you think?
I’ve already planned an outfit around these earrings! Does this happen to you?
Till next time..
