Well, what the heck, I figured at take look pics then and post them when I had the time so, now that I do I might as well post! Ha ha :-).
What were you upto on New Year’s Eve? Until about 4pm that day I had no plan. I’m known to always be last minute so having a solid plan wasn’t really in the picture until I asked a couple of friends and made plans at the last minute. So we decided to go to Carnivore for an event (would you believe I can’t remember the name of the event! Silly me!). It was quite nice though it rained a little but thank God for tents!
I wore this outfit on New Year’s Eve, I wanted to look chic yet simple while trying to maintain comfort (okay, somewhat). I went for my white denims, a pink vest and threw on a coral/peachy knit on top. Wore a pink faux snakeskin skinny belt to cinch in the waist and give a good silhouette. The weather in Nairobi that time was a little unpredictable so I wanted to be prepared for anything. I paired the outfit with some peep-toe booties that my amazing boyfriend got me sometime last year. I miss him so much! Anyway, I loooove those shoes coz they’re so pretty and so cute and so lovely! 😀
Would you believe I got my sister Jackie to take my look pics at 4am on New Year’s Day? Ha ha! I didn’t want to carry my cam when I went out so I managed to get lucky enough to arrive home at the same time as her and she took my pics!
Okay, I just had to say this but, I did my own makeup! I hope it’s visible enough so you can see it. I’m so proud of myself! I’ve never really been a makeup person but I’ve gathered interest lately. Now that I’m in London, I want to build up on my makeup collection and perfect my skills (if you can call them that, really).
I rocked kinda ‘barely there’ nails by just applying a base coat and a purple shimmer, also because I didn’t have the time to do my nails! Again, that was me being very last minute. I need to manage my time well! Working on that at the moment.
All in all I hope you all had a great start to 2013!
