Hellooooo! It’s been a while! Forgive the silence, it’s just that I’ve been trying to settle down at school and everything, plus I have assignments already! Another reason is because, like I had mentioned in my last post, I don’t have a camera so taking outfit posts is a little difficult at the moment. *sigh* 🙁
Moving on, I figured I hadn’t posted about my hair for a while and decided that I should probably give you all an update. It’s more like a by-the-way, really. As you may have seen from my last post, my hair is in braids, and has been the case since around November last year. Remember when I said that I was yearning for my hair to grow? Well, I went ahead and trimmed it (but that was for the purpose of trimming off remnants of the previous hair colour that I had), then I dyed it again! I know y’all are probably wondering what the hell I was thinking dyeing my hair but then I thought that since this was probably the last time I was going to do it, I figured why not do it while I was still young. (Yay for youth! LOL). Heads up: for those of you who follow me on Instagram you may have already seen the picture.
I didn’t dye my hair all the way to the roots because I sort of wanted the growth to be a ‘measurement’ of the progress of my happy hair growing. I think the pic on Instagram shows it better. The part that isn’t dyed is the growth recorded between the 2 times I had twists in my hair. I am proud to say that I achieved about a centimetre of growth in about 6 weeks! I owe it all to my olive oil/coconut oil/castor oil mixture. It works WONDERS people, at least it has for me and my cousin. She also had some major growth by the time she undid her braids as well! I’m still using this mixture here and I’m already noticing growth and I’ve had these braids about 4 weeks now. *happy dance* :-D. This mixture also prevents dandruff and I get absolutely no build-up at all when I remove my braids plus it absorbs really well. Love love love it!
PS- Praying for the weather to warm up soon!
Happy New Month and have a great week people!
