Do you ever feel like you get so comfortable doing something that you just don’t see yourself doing it any other way? Well, that’s been me lately. Every time I’m required to dress in formal/business attire, I find myself reaching for my blazers, pencil skirts and basic tops/shirts- in either black, white or cobalt blue.
I had an interview today, and as I was planning my outfit last night, I found myself reaching for my trusty H&M black pencil skirt (seen here, here, here). I immediately thought to myself that y’all would probably hate to see that skirt again LOL. Guys, when I love an item of clothing, I will wear it 5,000,000 times and I. WILL. NOT. CARE. But, I thought I needed a change for this particular interview. I traded in the black skirt for a textured print midi pencil skirt, a black top and my trusty blazer. Paired the outfit with some low platform pumps and I was good to go.
Top – Primark
Skirt – Burlington Coat Factory
Shoes – Nine West via DSW
Chain – super duper old, can’t remember
I wore my faux pearl earrings from Primark but I lost one during the interview so I took the other one off. 🙁
