Olive, or khaki green?
Now, I’m not quite sure whether the colour of today’s top is olive or khaki green (if there ever is a colour that exists like that), but what I’m sure of is that I’m in love with it. So much so that I’ve worn this shirt at least 3 times in the last 4 weeks, and I got it 4 weeks ago. Go figure. I’ve mentioned before that I’m one to shamelessly repeat an outfit if I like every piece of it put together. Moreso, I’m not ashamed to wear the same exact outfit more than once. I mean, what’s wrong with wearing an item of clothing that you love over and over again? Absolutely nothing. Even better if that piece lifts your mood. Nothing beats an extra boost of confidence and happiness like your favourite shirt.
Even then, I don’t think I’d cease talking about my wardrobe basics. What’s not to love about the blank canvas that a basic shirt creates for your outfits? You can create numerous outfits with just one item. I’d been wanting an olive green top for quite a while and just couldn’t seem to get around to finding a good one. That top you know that once you see it, you’ll know it’s the one. Okay, not the one the one, but the one. Y’know? My lovely mother got this for me from a recent trip to Amsterdam. Mother, you know me too well.
Can we also just take a moment to talk about my new obsession with ripped jeans too? Every time I look at any pair of my jeans, I want to get my scissors out and rip the life out of them. Weird or not? I wore them to my grandmother’s once and this is how the short conversation about my jeans went:
“Anita, is this what they call fashion these days? Clothes for poor people?”.
“Yes grandma, this is fashion and I love my intentionally torn jeans. Lol.”
Okay, those were not her exact words because she hardly speaks English, but you get the drift. I love her too much.
Anyway guys, my apologies for the silence on the blog, last week was quite a crazy week at work and I just wanted to plop onto my bed every evening and do nothing.
Have a great rest of the week.
Happy Hump Day!
