See what I tried to do there?
It’s been sort of a crazy week for me, so I almost always only find time to upload blog posts when I can squeeze in time to. Now, I know I’m not the most consistent blogger out there, but I try. Sometimes I feel I should be churning out at least 2 to 3 posts per week, but then life happens. Then I remind myself that I should be gentle with myself because I’m doing the best I can. Right? We can get a little hard on ourselves. True, sometimes I think that if I didn’t have a fulltime job that I’d be churning out more posts, but the reality is that maybe I wouldn’t. You know? You just need to get things done at your own pace and time. Quality over quantity.
Anyway, I digress. Now, I’m not sure if it may be too soon to talk about my obsession with my adidas Originals, but I don’t care. I love them! Yes, I wore them this past weekend. Saturday and Sunday. You know how sometimes you go through a phase of loving something so much that you do it all the time? That’s me with my adidas shoes. I wear them every chance I get on weekends. I’m obviously this close to making them debut in a work wear post soon! You know you love something when you want to share its awesomeness with everyone around you. The same case goes with my lovely kitenge/ankara plimsolls that were a gift from a girlfriend. I love them, they give the right amount of edge and African touch to any outfit. There’s something about African prints in the right cuts/accessories that just makes me feel happy. Weird? I think not.
There’s something that’s obviously drawn me to these shoes than even my trusty pointy black flats. Could it be the weather? At least I know my feet are cared for when I wear these shoes. No cold feet. Life (momentarily) sorted! They are the perfect balance between comfy, casual and chic.
I know there’s only so much one can talk about shoes, but just know that I love these 2 pairs in particular more than the rest I have. Period.
Enough of me. What’s going on with you? What shoes are you finding yourself wearing most from your closet?
adidas Originals – sent my brother to get them from Cape Town. Not sure if they are available locally but you can check adidas stores.
