Today’s post will be one of those backlog posts. I have some look pics that I took last week that I thought I should post before they became too old. Wore this outfit last week, Thursday to be precise. Wore this outfit to visit a friend who recently got into the fashion industry, and took one of my girls dress shopping (Hi Mumbe! :-)). I was in that I-must-wear-bright-colours-today-no-matter-what mood. So, with my trusty black skinnies that I folded into cropped pants, I paired them with a bright coloured neon top that I got in Malaysia, my denim jacket and yellow ngomas (for lack of a better word). Or maybe I could call them loafers? To all my Kenyan readers, I think ngomas would be more appropriate, no?
Forgive the ngomas, blame it on the Nairobi dust!
This top reminds me of the ’80s! Why? ‘Cause of the print of the top. It’s soo retro. And the neon colours and all just give this top a unique look. It’s one of a kind. The top has 2 textures btw! The orange part is some kind of stretch cotton fabric, while the print part is sorta chiffon-ish. Have no idea how to describe the fabric but it’s a cross between 2 types.
This was me trying out my ‘natural hair puff’. What do you guys think? Hit or miss? I used a headband that’s soo tight on the head so I pushed it back so it could look more like a hairband. That day I had no idea what to do with my straight hair!!! *sigh*. Thought the earrings matched the outfit well ’cause they contrasted with the top at the same time! Bought them from a stand at the Kitenge Festival for Kes.50! Score! 🙂
I always hate shots of my feet. My feet are soo flat! Oh well, I am God’s creation. As Tyra Banks would say, FLAWSOME!
Forgive the dry hands. This pic does no justice to the nail polish! It was supposed to be a neon pink-ish colour but it didn’t come out as well.
So, guys, any of you going for Blankets and Wine?
Hope you all had a good day!
