Lately, I find myself reaching for outfits that involve one loose-fitting item and one fitting item.
I’m, not sure why, but it’s sort of become my personal fashion rule of thumb when picking out my outfits-of-the-day. I love the fact that the loose item- usually the top- allows me to breathe especially with the current Nairobi heat, and that the bottom, usually a pair of skinnies or a midi skirt still gives me that effortless look that I am quite fond of.
This outfit, however, is reversed in that I wore a fitting top- a lovely black bodysuit- and distressed boyfriend jeans. I’m not sure what it is about this outfit, but it definitely takes me back to the 90s, when bodysuits were everyone’s cup of tea. On a little side note, I know that loose-fitting boyfriend jeans may make a curvy plus-size woman like me look a bit shapeless, however, not every day skinnies, sometimes boyfriend jeans. I love these jeans also because of the fact that I DIY-ed the distressed part. It was my first time and I don’t think I did too shabby if I do say so myself.

Now, I know that I am not consistent with blogging because I have quite a bit going on in my life at the moment. I do hope to post more often though, so please bear with me.
There’s exciting news coming up very soon!
