HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I do hope that you all had a good Christmas. If you follow me on my Instagram (@fromcurveswithlove), you’d have known that I wasn’t really in the festive mood this holiday. Maybe it could be because I worked all through December (which in a sense is quite a relief really, no holiday blues for me), or maybe it’s because last December was more of an emotional one in other aspects of life. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m just glad that 2016 is over. Now, to start afresh.
There’s been something about me over the last few months that has me inclined towards wearing simple, comfy, casual clothes. The same goes for my jewelry choices. I mean, I love my heels -although I still love my flats any day- but I’ve sorta been looking for any occasion to whip out my adidas sneakers. Yes guys, I’m still on about them almost a year later. What can I say? When I’m into something, I tend to do it a lot (who doesn’t, right?).
I was lucky enough to select some pieces of jewelry from the lovely folks at Kipato Unbranded (Instagram @kipatounbranded) last month (or was it November? Can’t remember, to be honest) and I must say they are totally aligned with my current style. I’m loving the simplistic, rustic but modern African vibe they bring to my outfits. I picked out the tembo bracelet, the barafu earrings and the warrior bone necklace, and the warrior bone necklace has been my absolute favourite of the three. It goes with so many items in my wardrobe and I’m always like yaaassss lawd, yes!
On another note, I’d love to thank those that always keep coming back to read my posts, no matter how sporadic they are. You all keep me going because more often than not I find myself doubting myself & wondering why I’m still blogging when there’s so many other bloggers out there that you could follow. Thank you.
